I'm modern and would feel comfortable paying for my own way but I'm still a woman and being a gentleman goes a long way - in any form on any type of "date". As far as first dates go, something more public and allows the opportunity to feel the chemistry (or lack of) would be a perfect date.
Enjoying movies in the comfort of a home. Watching The Walking Dead on Sunday's. Enjoying home-cooked meals (after meeting in person).
Would be some nice extended first-dates. Something more casual and a lighter atmosphere. Finding a comfort level.
If you're looking for something more fast-paced like sleepover first dates, I'm not your woman. I'm passionate, and sexual but I'm looking for (warning clich) "Mr. Right and not Mr. Right Now). But I'm also happy to make friends in the process. It may not end in hopes for more but I believe the best, most lasting relationships are based on solid friendships.
